Dine at a contemporary oak table whilst a fire crackles in the Hornton stone fireplace of the dining room. Logs provided.
Beams aplenty in the spacious lounge invite you to snuggle up on huge squashy red sofas in front of a gorgeous inglenook fireplace to catch up on the papers or the latest film on the TV/DVD.
An unusual fossil limestone basin on an elm table graces the handy downstairs cloakroom.
There are four bedrooms, the first has an Iron double bed overlaid with luxurious bedspread under sloping ceilings with walk-in wardrobe. A contemporary double bed stands on original elm flooring in the second, which has a stylish en-suite shower room with fabulous teak basin, powerful shower and fun pebble floor. The third and fourth bedrooms can be set up as either double or twin rooms. The top floor room has exposed beams and a king size-bed that unzips to two generous twins. Warm wool carpets can also be found in the fourth bedroom to make a cosy double or twin room with window seat overlooking the garden.
In addition to the en-suite shower room, the main bathroom has a freestanding 'Bain Bateau' sitting on a walnut travertine floor complimented by a stylish stone basin sink and separate powerful shower. Towels & linen are included.
A large Yew tree graces a gravel driveway to the front of the house providing the ideal place to play boules. To the side of the house is a gravel patio area for al fresco dining, surrounded by flowers and above this the garden slopes are laid to lawn. The garden Is enclosed and you can choose to park on the drive or outside on the road. A small vegetable patch provides some veg, fruit and herbs for the cottage - the owners have a nearby allotment so your welcome basket is likely to come stuffed with the season's offerings!
